Want to be part of what makes Design Recess happen? Join our volunteer team and help create a welcoming, inspiring experience for Atlanta's creative community.
As a thank you for your time and support, selected volunteers will receive a complimentary conference pass to enjoy the event when they're not on duty.
Volunteer Requirments
To volunteer, you must:

Be a current AIGA member.

Be available to attend a required virtual volunteer onboarding session before the event.

Commit to your assigned volunteer shift and responsibilities.

Commit to an assigned volunteer shift of 4 hours

Bring a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed.
Volunteer Roles
Check-In
Welcome attendees, assist with registration, answer questions, and help everyone get off to a great start.
Greeters & Hospitality
Create a warm, welcoming experience by helping guests, speakers, and sponsors navigate the venue and find what they need.
Vendor Support
Assist sponsors and exhibitors with light setup, logistics, and general support throughout the day.
Setup Crew
Help prepare the venue before doors open by placing signage, arranging furniture, setting up registration, and preparing event spaces.
Cleanup Crew
Help wrap up the event by packing supplies, removing signage, and restoring the venue.
Play Station Helpers
Support our interactive Play sessions by assisting facilitators, replenishing materials, and encouraging attendees to participate.
Stage Hands
Support speakers and the production team with presentation transitions, timing, microphones, and other behind-the-scenes needs.

Selected volunteers will be notified by September 11th via email with their role, shift, onboarding details, and next steps.
